GRAND PARDON DE LA MER ET DES CORPORATIONS

It is a true and great popular maritime festival that has existed for many decades now, and for which the fervour has never wavered. Initially, it was at the time of the Liberation of Granville that the popular jubilation surrounding the reinstallation of the miraculous statue of the Virgin provoked a first gathering to which several corporations joined a few years later. It is therefore in homage to this anniversary that the procession takes place every last Sunday in July, with mass, meal and blessing of the boats. Concerts, particularly organ concerts, are also organised.
