The Bageri bakery is located in the astonishing setting of Turku's former prison, now a vast center of activity where a hotel, spa, brewery and housing cohabit. Here, products are freshly baked by hand, and you can watch the artisan at work through the bay window. Beautiful armchairs invite you to relax and enjoy a Scandinavian delicacy with a good cup of coffee. And to get here, don't forget to take the funicular!

The only brewery in Turku where you can see the beers brewed directly on site, through a large glass window, before enjoying them in the adjoining room (or on the terrace, as the case may be). The Kakola brewery is also a symbol of the revival of the eponymous area, formerly home to the city's prison. It's now a district in full revival, as evidenced by this very pleasant place, where you can relax with friends for an evening. It's also possible to visit the brewery (booking required).
