A charming wine bar with a varied salad buffet, tasty soup of the day and mouth-watering cakes - all homemade! The refined wooden tables, the elaborate playlist and the decoration add a touch of class to this new place. A place that is both simple and chic. Nice terrace overlooking the river bank. It's hard to believe that in the 18th century, the establishment was used as a stable! Plus, the menu still offers a vegetarian plan and there are options if you want gluten-free or lactose-free.

Turku's best pizza? Perhaps. The best names for said pizzas, inspired by the English royal family? Definitely. And the best atmosphere in a large radius? Definitely! Far from being just a pizzeria, Cup and Pint is more of a bar-bistro where people like to get together to share a (delicious) pizza, have a drink or enjoy one of the many entertainments offered by the bosses. Be warned: the place fills up very quickly, and service can be a tad long (but that's part of the charm of the place)!

If you're looking for a really nice place to eat, right next to the harbor and the château, look no further than the Mr. Gren bar. In a beautifully decorated room (or on the terrace - with blankets if you need them), you'll be able to enjoy simple but beautifully prepared dishes with a strong Nordic flavour. The salmon pasta is delicious, as are the desserts. The menu changes as quickly as the smiles on the staff's faces, and it's a real pleasure to come back and be pampered!

The delicious restaurant Smör is a true master of Nordic cuisine! Inspired by fresh, seasonal local produce, you will totally succumb to their pike-perch with Icelandic truffle, Finnish beef with potatoes from Lapland or organic Aland lamb with celeriac rave... all in a lovely candlelit atmosphere. And to respect the vegetable and fruit seasons, the menu varies and is adapted every eight weeks. A treat for which we advise you to reserve, especially in the evening.

Right across from the train station, a tiny restaurant that locals consider to be the best Thai in town (and even in the region). Whether you choose to eat in (with seating for 5 indoors, but large tables on the terrace, ideal for sunny days) or take away, it's up to you to understand why Thaï in Town is worth a visit! The menu features some fifteen different (and tasty!) dishes, ranging from the subtly spicy to the downright fiery. A warmly recommended delight, whatever the season.

Open since 2018, Aune has quickly become the go-to address for locals and travelers alike when it comes to burgers in Turku. In a room with a slightly bohemian, industrial decor, all you have to do to feel good is settle down, under the watchful eye of Al, the premises mascot, royally installed in his terrarium. On the menu: three-cheese, pulled pork and bacon burgers, served with crispy potatoes. There's also a choice of salads and (good) beer. In short, loved and recommended!

Located in the harbor district, halfway between the castle and the city center, Rantakerttu is mainly known among locals for one specialty: its lunchtime burger buffet! Available to carnivores and vegetarians alike, it's not open all year round, but it's well worth a visit (keep an eye on the website to make sure you don't miss it). Apart from this particular feature, a lovely terrace, an honest selection of beer, pleasant service and pretty good burgers make this address a spot to keep your eye on.

In 1880, one of Turku's schools for girls was built here. The pupils deserted the classroom in 1997 and it is the customers who crowd together in tight rows upstairs. On the ground floor, there is a wine and beer bar, all produced by the house on site. Visible vats above the counter. The planispheres and paintings have not moved. The spelling lessons have just given way to the prices... Huge, original and always surprising setting, with a terrace for 500 people. The good plan : the lounas during the week.
