Mountain and winter sports Helsinki

Under favourable conditions, the town has 180 km of cross-country ski trails. The best ones are in the central park (Keskuspuisto), as they are regularly maintained. The tourist office of the town can provide you with further information and maps of the circuits and routes set up. An opportunity to combine sport with a truly unusual visit to the city. We warmly recommend it if the weather permits!

Every winter, an open-air skating rink is set up next to Central Station, between the National Theater and the Museum of Fine Arts. You can skate to music and drink hot chocolate. Young and old alike flock to the rink, where the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The rink is usually open from early December to late March, depending on the weather.
