The city is now an anonymous industrial port, but we will come here to visit its fortress. Built between the th and th centuries, on the sea, it is one of the most impressive in Ukraine. You can take the tour for 2 km. The fortress is open daily from 9 am to 18 pm. Around the fortress lies the remains of the old Fira. A 25 min walk from the fortress, on Shabski street, lies a scythe sepulchre (Скифская могила) consisting of two constructions dug in the rock.10 km from Bilhorod, in the direction of the Black Sea, lies the small village of Shabo (Шабо), a former Swiss colony. The village was founded in the early th century by Swiss people who set up a wine production that survived until today, even by Gorbachev's antialcoolisme campaign. Today, Cave winery is one of the best Ukrainian wines (www.shabo.ua).12 km from Bilhorod, in the direction of Odessa, lies the small village of Zatoka, a seaside resort very busy in the Soviet era which still retains its old charm. Wooden houses or special hotels are the only accommodation opportunities. The beaches are moderately clean, which does not prevent tourists from Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus from attending their holidays. Finally, Zatoka remains an ideal place for those who seek to discover the authenticity of the camping and camping of the USSR.
