A walk is required in the most artistic and bohemian streets of the capital. Surrounded by old buildings of the th century, most in a poetic state of abandonment, and immersed in the greenery of its heights, this street is fascinating. From the Volodymyrska street to the Podil, you can admire:

The monument to Pronya Prokopivna and Svirid Golokhvastov. At the top of the descent is the monument to the two protagonists of the famous comedy in pursuit of two hares, realized in 1961 by the Dovzhenko film studios and whose final scenes were filmed not far from the church of Saint-André.

Saint-André Church (Андр iï вська церква, No. 77). The masterpiece of the rococo art, this th century church is one of the most charming and chests in Kiev. The interior decor with its sculpted wood and the iconostasis are superb.

By continuing the descent, at the height of house No. 24 you will find on your right a wooden ladder half in ruins. Do not hesitate to climb up to the end, you will find yourself on a sort of viewpoint from where you will have a beautiful panorama over Kiev and the Podil.

Across the street, just before the Theatre on the Podil, you will see another scale, but iron, which climbs on a steep hill. At the top you will find yourself in a countryside corner in the city centre! From here you will see the Podil, the Dnipro and also the high part of Andriyivski Ouzviz with the beautiful domes of his church.

At No. 15, is the medieval castle of Richard Lion's Heart. It was the writer Vladimir Nekrasov who gave this name to this beautiful resident built from 1902 to 1904 in modern Gothic style.

At No. 13 we see Mr. Bulgakov's museum house and lower, at No. 2 and No. 6, the museum dedicated to this street. Because of the many artists who exhibit watercolours and sculptures every weekend, this street is regarded as the Ukrainian Montmartre. It houses a large number of art galleries, with contemporary art growing as the street goes down. On the way, you can stop on the terrace of a café, visit the home museum Bulgakov, the immense native writer in Kiev, or browse souvenirs and antiques (Soviet posters, military accessories, etc.) Inescapable.
