This museum presents an important collection of ancient gold and silver objects showing a mixture of civilizations on the soil of Ukraine. No doubt the most beautiful part of the collection is the gold of the Scythians, on the first floor. This begins with the rebuilding of the grave of a princess scythe and her son. In the rooms on the right you can admire the finesse of the scythe handicraft, which in the steppes of Ukraine and the Black Sea edges have joined Greek techniques as shown by the refinement of the decor of the cup in the centre of the first room. The Scythians had no writing, so all the knowledge about this people, one of the most powerful in the Eurasian steppe, comes from this craft and tales of Herodotus. In the first room on the left of the stairs, a th century futon attracts attention by its finesse. The drawing represents scenes of daily life and scythe mythology. At the center, two men fight the golden fleece. It is one of the greatest masterpieces of crafts inherited from this people. Other parts of the museum are also interesting, even if the presentation is less rigorous. Note, in particular, towards the end of the journey, the collection of Jewish religious objects of the th century, which is the richest and oldest that has been preserved in Europe.
