RESTAURANT TRADICIONAL ODAJA

Located in the "craftsmen's center" district, this old restaurant offers some good Gjirokastra specialties, including qifqi (pronounced "chifchi"), crispy rice dumplings with egg and mint (the local equivalent of Sicilian arancini ). We also love burek, meatballs with tomato sauce and Greek-style yoghurt, stuffed peppers,imam bayıldı (a Turkish recipe for ultra-melting eggplants) and orange cake.
