LA FÊTE DES POTIERS

Organized by the team of the Regional Pottery Museum of Ger, the Pottery Festival brings together more than thirty ceramists from all over France who exhibit, work and compete together. It all starts on Saturday with the construction of the ovens. And there, we deploy treasures of imagination and science that draw their source from the confines of the Neolithic period. Did you know that you can build an oven out of sods or hides? Then, workshops for young and old are set up around a theme. Everyone can prepare his or her masterpiece, according to ancestral or modern methods. On Saturday evening, a cooking demonstration, as colourful as it is impressive, with gigantic flames escaping from a good fifteen ovens, sets hearts ablaze.
