The Aleut Indians were able to acclimatise at the extreme conditions of the region and Unalaska, by its geographical location, was one of the most important villages of this tribe. Indeed, the city is at the bottom of a bay that is also protected by a small islands screen. Dutch Harbor is in fact the port of Unalaska located on the largest of the islands serving as a shield. But the city would not be what it is today without a historic period rich in events for one of the most remote places on the planet. The Second World War is developing many advanced American army positions in Alaska due to proximity to Japan. Thus, Dutch Harbor became a very important platform for the American navy even more when the Japanese took the islands of Attu and Kiska in 1942 after bombing American troops stationed in the port of Unalaska.Port activity is still extremely strong, as it is the first American port in terms of commercial fishing and lives the 4 300 inhabitants of the community. It is therefore a place dedicated entirely to fishing. Today, the observation of migratory birds attracts more and more tourists from all over the world, as the city is on the plane of theft of many species of birds coming to this Eldorado that is represented by Alaska for Them.
