20 km away, on Spruce Drive crossing the Kenai Spur Highway, there is a pleasant and busy sandy beach. It is an opportunity to observe hundreds of fishermen fighting with the salmon. You can camp here for a fee in July, or just stop and enjoy the view of Cook Gulf. Kenai residents come here for family walks with their dogs. You can rent beach bikes, eat a hot dog and, because of the wind, kite or kite surf.
