Not far from Ueno Park, in the Yanaka district, this small gallery is built in an old sentō, a public bath of which it preserves the architecture: the pagoda roof, the gray tiles. Inside, however, it is a completely different atmosphere. White walls, mortar floor, in this minimal decor, avant-garde artists, Japanese or foreign, come to present their works. Louise Bourgeois, Ufan Lee, Mariko Mori or Anish Kapoor have been there. Small, but effective. The carefully curated exhibitions leave a lasting impression on the visitor.
