Impressive Christian basilica in Tipasa, with nine naves separated by columns topped by arcades.
On the West hill, the ancient great Christian basilica, built around the 4th century, is the largest Christian building excavated in Algeria. Particularly impressive, the basilica is 58 m long and 42 m wide and includes nine naves separated by columns topped by arcades, part of which is still visible. The remainder of the large mosaics which decorated the ground of the central aisles reveals the importance of the place at the time.
