Pretty church located in Port-Bail-sur-Mer, ideal for a small detour during a visit to the two parishes of Saint-Martin.
Today the parish church of Portbail, the church of Saint-Martin was previously that of Gouey. Portbail and Gouey having become a single commune since 1818, the two parishes of Saint-Martin and Notre-Dame merged definitively in 1909. On the evening of June 16-17, 1944, the Allied air force bombed Portbail, the church caught fire, and was not restored to worship until 1956 - the time to restore the building. This pretty church, whose foundations are a few meters from the sea, deserves a small detour during your visit here.

Eglise Saint-Martin 50580 Port-Bail-Sur-Mer
L 'Eglise Saint-Martin est une très jolie église située en centre ville de Port-Bail-Sur-Mer . Plutôt sombre et petite, assez intime, cette église dispose de belles statues, du très beau tableau d'un peintre italien et de magnifiques vitraux très originaux avec texte et superbes motifs colorés. Je recommande la visite.
