Located in a rocky cirque, it is the largest nature reserve in the canton (15.2 km²). Marmots, chamois and roe deer can be observed in freedom in a majestic setting. At the foot of the amphitheatre, the Ferme-Robert (972 m), built in 1750 and the scene of a famous fight between the woodcutter David Robert and the last bear in the region, is a good place to take a walk from Noiraigue (50 min. on foot). The alpine hut has a beautiful view over the valley.

What a landscape! we are ridden to the farmhouse Soliat by road (by car) because we missed time to go there on foot.
The view from the top of the hollow van is magnificent. 15 minutes walk later, you get a cross and especially a viewpoint indicator which names summits covered with snow opposite us, including Mont Blanc of course!
Beware, do not forget wind-cutters because up there, musses and the weather is fresh and hidden sun.
superb walk made there is little. It is necessary to go up to the pretty farmhouse Robert then walk with uneven 600m. The view from the summit is breathtaking, we were lucky enough to not very wild ibex. Seen on the lake of bienne and the island of saint stone. Take good walking shoes because way quite slippery and sometimes steep
