Art brut refers to works created outside traditional artistic circuits, by "outsiders" who express their own vision without concern for convention or criticism. As early as 1945, Jean Dubuffet built up a collection of drawings, sculptures and writings by people "untouched by any artistic culture". The Collection de l'Art Brut, at Château de Beaulieu, brings together nearly 700 works. This constantly evolving museum offers temporary exhibitions to explore the diversity and richness of this unusual art form.

Open Tuesday to Sunday, 11 am to 6 pm. Admission CHF 12, students CHF 6, and Mondays in July and August.

The collection of art brut is a museum that proposes to promote the expansion of works outside of
norms. This museum dedicated to art brut brings together the best productions of artists from
different countries (Fausto Badari, Julie Bar, Paul Amar, Marie Bouttier for example).
Contemplate the beauty of their works through the organized exhibitions. There is also
a store where books and documentary films are on sale. Works such as
such as Beliefs, Body, Bonhomme d'Art brut and Marc Moret's Reliquaires acérés you
will allow you to discover this different way of presenting art.
