The Swiss Cetacean Society, or SCS, is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the conservation of marine mammals. SCS promotes access to training and proposes scientific missions with environmental impact by organizing campaigns to acquire data on populations of cetaceans. These programs are based on écovolontariat  : 80   % of the stay price covers boat fees and 20   % are intended for the research and shares of CAS. The organisation is approved "Youth and Popular Education".

What are they proposing? Volunteers become assistants to specialist naturalists on research platforms (sailing boats on the high seas). They collect the data and collaborate in the photo-identification catalogue to facilitate the work of scientists.

Where? Mediterranean Sea (from several countries around méditerrannéen), Bahamas, Azores, Mexico.

Profile and conditions. We need to be major to participate in the programmes and, obviously, not to fear the sea  ! From 1 100 € for 8 days in the Mediterranean Sea.
