A cheaper option than the neighboring palaces, some of the rooms also open onto the lake. The Hôtel du Port is a charming little establishment located on the shores of Lake Geneva near the port of Ouchy, 600 m from the Olympic Museum and 5 minutes by metro from the city center. Decorated in beige and white tones, the comfortable rooms overlook the lake (for the view) or the courtyard (for the peace and quiet). A warm welcome awaits you, and the restaurant serves traditional cuisine and local dishes. And don't forget the perch!

A pleasant hotel with a reasonably priced restaurant attached. The room I had was small but pleasant and clean. Most of the staff speak English, and the hotel is just across the road from Lake Geneva. An interesting addition is that a stay currently comes with a 15 day travel pass for public transport.
