NOUVELLE PLANETE

New Planet is a Swiss association that works to improve the situation of disadvantaged people and to safeguard the environment through concrete programmes by acting in collaboration with local partners. Its areas of action extend to environmental protection, village development, the improvement and communication of appropriate technologies, social and health.

What do they propose  ? New Planet organizes travel camps from 3 to 4 weeks, in school centres, and you can take part in the literacy of children and adults, the training of craftsmen and awareness of the act of transmission. In health centres, the association collaborates with nutritional efforts and assists in hospitals, maternity hospitals or dental clinics. It also supports the construction and renovation of reception structures for street children or centres for persons with disabilities. From an environmental point of view, it is involved in the creation of nurseries, in setting up maraîchages, in reforestation, in compost production, in the work of fields, and in the treatment of water treatment.

Where  ? More than 20 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, such as Sahel countries, Madagascar, Vietnam, India, Haiti and Amazonia.

Prices and conditions. Several formulas are proposed, from travel camps (17 to 35 years) to self-supporting travel (18 to 80 years). There is no specific qualification requirement. The association is domiciled in Switzerland  ; as preparatory meetings are compulsory, it is preferable to be a Swiss resident. From around € 1 400 for the yards, € 2 500 for solidaires.
