Created on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Waldensian Horticultural Society in 1971, the Tulip Festival, which is freely accessible, lasts 6 weeks and presents more than 120,000 tulips of 300 varieties gathered in the Parc de l'Indépendance, on the shores of Lake Geneva. Bulb sales, tulip strolls, a large canteen and sound and light are on the programme.
