It was built around 1230 and is in a perfect state of preservation. It is now used for events, with the exception of a floor reserved for the Polish Museum. This museum was created in 1970 by Polish emigrants who came to Switzerland as a refugee following the unrest in their country (insurrection of January 1863). The exhibition deals with Polish history, its traditions, its struggles, its regained independence and its relations with Switzerland over the years.

Le château offre un beau panorama sur le lac de Zürich est sur la ville. Depuis la terrasse, vous pourrez aussi admirer des biches sur les jardins latéraux, ainsi que la roseraie de la ville et des vignes. L'intérieur du château abrite un musée polonais, mais vous pouvez vous rendre à la terrasse sans entrer dans le musée.

Abbiamo visitato Rappersville in una magnifica giornata di novembre assolata che ci ha regalato interessanti scorci fotografici. Siamo arrivati in bicicletta da Zurigo (le biciclette si noleggiano nel centro città gratuitamente) dopo aver pedalato circa 2 ore e mezza. Il percorso è pianeggiante e non particolarmente faticoso e il paesino grazioso di arrivo ricompensa la sgambata! Il castello il ponticello pedonale di legno e la tenuta che ospita i daini sono le attrazioni principali della cittadina.
Si trascorre volentieri una piacevole mezza giornata. Per il ritorno a Zurigo si può optare per il treno o per il battello, ma in quest'ultimo caso occorre far attenzione agli orari perché sono piuttosto rari. A bordo del treno se si trasporta la bicicletta è necessario pagare un sovrapprezzo.

Magnifique chateau tout en haut de la jolie petite ville de Rapperswill. Magnifique vue sur le lac et les environs. A ne pas manquer. On peut aussi visiter le musée polonais installé dans le château.
