ORDINO ARCALÍS SECTOR

The Domain of Ordino-Arcalís (formerly part of the Vallnord complex) is near the peaceful village of El Serrat. It is 20 km from the Pal-Arinsal area and is the most northerly of the Principality. You have to take your car to get there (CG 3 road) or the free Ski Bus service. This makes it a very pleasant spot where sun and powder are present, its north-east/north-west exposure favoring the snow during the whole season! Arcalís, with an altitude difference of 1,940 m to 2,625 m, is divided between 27 slopes stretching over 30 km, and 14 ski lifts. Arcalís is one of the few resorts in Europe to have chairlifts equipped with magnets for the safety of children. The resort is known for its fantastic steep slopes, which make it the ideal area in the Pyrenees for off-piste skiing, but also a great place for snowboarders. A snowpark has been specially designed to evolve at will and to practice all kinds of tricks, but also freeride areas, accessible by ski lifts and totally secured by the ski resort's slope service, and a Wood Park and a Border Cross. The beauty of the landscape will enthuse the sportsman or the walker that you are. Apart from the classic snowshoeing and snowmobiling, Arcalís also offers some unusual and sensational adventure sports: ice diving, paragliding, speed-riding and heliskiing! In short, there is plenty to do!
