In the past, the small village of El Serrat, at the northern end of the Principality, made its living from livestock farming and the mining industry. Today, its location at the gateway to the estate means that it could develop even further. And also because on the other side, the Pyrenean landscape of the Sorteny and Rialp glacial valleys is of great beauty. On the road to Arcalis, you'll also come across shepherds' huts, some of which are still flanked by rudimentary dairies. The heritage tour continues with the 16th-century church of Sant Pere, and ends with the Arcalis 91 sculpture by Italian artist Mauro Staccioli, at Coma del Forat.
