Domaine du Coquerel manufactures, stores and markets AOC calvados and pommeau. A visit to the estate, nestled in a verdant corner of the bocage, will reveal the secrets behind the production of this emblematic Normandy beverage (note that other spirits are also produced here). Visits and tasting all year round. From July to September from Monday to Thursday from 8:30 to 11:30 and from 13:30 to 17:00. Saturdays on reservation. From October to June, visits are by appointment only. For groups (about 10 people) visits can be made all year round by appointment only.

Located in Grandparigny, the Domaine du Coquerel welcomes you to an authentic setting, a blend of living heritage, generous nature and a passion for taste. Since 1937, this family-run distillery has specialized in the production of characterful calvados and Pommeau de Normandie. It also offers a fine range of artisanal ciders, gins, eaux-de-vie and original liqueurs. Here, every stage of production is mastered: cultivation, selection, pressing, fermentation, distillation, aging and blending are carried out to the highest standards. The establishment works with over forty varieties of cider apples and pears, some from neighboring orchards, carefully chosen for their aromatic richness. To find out more, opt for a guided tour. You'll explore the secrets of distillation, the ageing cellars and the cider house, before finishing with a convivial, gourmet tasting session. You'll appreciate the diversity of aromas and the finesse of the products. Among the nuggets not to be missed are Coquerel Pommeau de Normandie, sweet and complex, Calvados blackcurrant liqueur, fruity and bold, and Coquerel brut cider, a true reflection of the Normandy terroir. Thoroughly recommended
Bien que pour des raisons techniques les lieus ne s'y prêtent pas, la visite est malgré tout possible aux personnes à mobilité réduite (en chaise manuelle !)
La dégustation est un plaisir pour le palais et j'ai flanché pour le single cast fini au pommeau et le 24 ans d'âge.
Nous reviendrons l'année prochaine.
