PUBLIC GARDEN
A public garden that hides a gem of a bandstand, the last of its kind in Cherbourg.
A little way from the town center, at the foot of the Roule mountain, Cherbourg's Jardin Public is worth a visit. If you enter from the Avenue de Paris, where flowers and fragrances surround the war memorial, you'll be reminded of our duty to remember. The public garden is surprisingly large: 1.7 hectares on a gentle slope. The tree-lined paths lead to a children's play area with swings and a sandpit.... The public garden also hides a little gem of a bandstand, the last of its kind in Cherbourg.
