The Batterie du Roule allows you to discover a heritage listed as a Monument Historique (1995) in the manner of an explorer.

For several years now, the Exspen association has been offering the chance to explore the bowels of the Batterie du Roule, a site listed as a Historic Monument since 1995. Equipped with a helmet and headlamp, you’ll set out to discover a section of the fortifications dug out during the Second World War, and discover an incredible heritage in the manner of explorers, without any particular museology. You’ll be transported back to the time when these underground tunnels, equipped with cannons, were designed to protect Cherbourg’s large artificial harbour.

Un guide caricature du sergent-chef mal luné, des galeries totalement nues et vides de toutes installations ou objets, ni photo ou document ou même maquette pour illustrer .... finalement peu d'intérêt et une ambiance détestable.
