Shust is just a town, consisting of two large perpendicular streets around which are arranged labyrinths of alleys with traditional houses. Going up to the north, an eminence offers an impressive view on the village and on the horizon closed by the Tchatkal mountains, which mark the northern limit of the valley. The streets come alive around 4 pm, when the children's colorful uniforms mingle with the traditional flowery dresses of their mothers. The site is famous for its knives, which are lined up by tens on the bazaar, and its tioupé (Uzbek caps).
