KANISHKA

Fashion store

Kanishka is the emblem of contemporary fashion in Tashkent. In this traditional Uzbek-style shop, you will find the creations of this young Uzbek designer, best known for his leather accessories (bags, wallets, belts) and graphic t-shirts whose designs are based in turn on traditional nomadic designs or Uzbek ikats. The shop is not indicated and there is no reason to suspect that this building is open for visits, but do not hesitate. Make a phone call before your visit so we can open you up.

AUTOGRAPH

Art galleries

This art gallery opened in 2017 offers a very nice collection of products from all over the country (mainly artists' paintings but also ceramics, designer dresses...). We will find functional objects of everyday life, others purely decorative, some having been revisited to stick to the tastes or customs of the 21st century and it is rather successful overall. There are also many paintings with a slightly more mitigated invoice. We stroll with pleasure in this gallery where we finally get a glimpse of many things.

LE MARCHÉ AUX PUCES

Braderie brocante et puce

The Tashkent flea market is known to locals as Tezykovka. It contains just about everything that can exist under the sun. From busts of Stalin to traditional silk scarves, from American military surpluses to posters announcing the creation of Uzbek shows in Parisian cafés at the beginning of the century, cameras, animals, old bills... But also miles of cables, pipes, broken things, tools of all kinds. You don't choose your route, you're carried by the crowd.
