From Bobolice Castle, the road leads to the lonely ruins of the impressive Mirów Castle in the open countryside. This Gothic-style castle is one of the oldest on the Eagle's Nest route, a fortified network defending the entrance to the southern provinces of the Kingdom of Poland. Of the fortified complex, only the upper part of the castle and a fragment of the lower part have been saved from the passage of time. From the top of the ruins, however, you can enjoy a fine view of the surrounding area and its small castral town. Mirów takes its name from the Mir family, who occupied it in 1360 and also owned Kozieglowy Castle.
