This small village, some 50 km from Warsaw, lies close to the Kampinos National Park. It is home to the Chopins' family manor house, now transformed into a museum decorated with period furniture and a few objects that belonged to the composer. A haven of peace and quiet, the house is surrounded by a pleasant park.Nearby. In Brochów, about 10 km northwest of Żelazowa Wola, stands the impressive 16th-century Church of St. Roch, one of the most precious monuments of fortified sacral architecture. Frédéric Chopin was baptized here in April 1810, and his parents were married here a few years earlier.
