A bifurcation shortly after San Juan leads to this village which has three parks and two hundred-year-old trees (trees), one of which is intact. It is in the surrounding mountains that the native Lempira leads life hard to Spanish soldiers (one can still visit his fortress or "Peñol de Cerquín", but this is relative adventure and camping is still the best solution); it is also around the village that develops a trade in opals: you will surely be offered to buy it. The stones are of very good quality in general.
