A bled that has not preserved the same colonial charm as the two previous villages. Yet what historic heritage! During the «silver rush» (approximately 1880 to 1950), the village housed the offices of the Rosario Mining Co., the richest silver mine throughout the Mesoamerican continent; the first Central American hydroelectric station was built there; and later, Pepsi Cola built the first plant bottling plant! Today, little remains of this glorious past. However, travellers will be pleased to know that the village is one of the two entrances to La Tigra National Park. We will also be interested in the workshop of women making paper from banana leaves (for example) and at the workshop of men making glass. A happy initiative to restore work to aboriginal people in a situation of great poverty. Beautiful items are sold at the «In Vitro» store in Tegucigalpa, not far from the Portal del Angel and the Furiwa restaurant (for further information - www.invitrohonduras.com).
