LIGHTHOUSE (TRANØY FYR)
The pretty Tranøy lighthouse, listed as a cultural heritage site since 1997, is a popular spot for painters and writers. It is accessible by road; a pedestrian bridge links the lighthouse rock to the mainland. The resort includes the former lighthouse keeper's house and a more recent house, which welcome visitors in summer and winter (40 beds in 16 rooms). The restaurant (Naustet Mat & Drikke) is open all season, from early May to October, from 9am to 9pm. A picturesque, charming and peaceful setting for a timeless getaway.
