RESTAURANT SÖL
Read moreBehind the restaurant SÖL are three long-time friends. Their credo is to give you a pure gastronomic experience, inspired by Nordic culinary traditions. Their dishes are strongly influenced by local and seasonal vegetables. Meat and fish are not particularly on the menu for the pleasure of vegetarians. Sustainable and mostly local suppliers. Excellent selection of natural wines, juices and beers from local producers. Incredible food and wine pairing. One of the best restaurants in Stavanger.
CIN CIN
Read moreItalian and French cuisine with a touch of Asia in the heart of Stavanger. Fantastic team, refined cuisine and explosion of flavors. Very nice wine list. The interior decoration has been thought with taste: design furniture and ultra comfort, small flowers on each table, beautiful lighting, some plants near the windows, nice pictures on the walls... and above all, inventive, daring, tasty and very well presented culinary proposals. We feel pampered. Reservation recommended. To be tried without fail!
N.B. SØRENSENS DAMPSKIBSEXPEDITION
Read moreHere is a rather famous Norwegian restaurant, which bets both on the cuisine, very fresh and healthy, and on the decoration, very Scandinavian. Indeed, the interior perfectly reflects the maritime history of the city. You can enjoy braised beef carpaccio or stuffed crab. This is top-notch cooking for this establishment. We tasted all the dishes of our guests and nothing was missing in terms of flavor, texture, spices, and not too salty!
NICK & JONNIES
Read moreHoused in a classic downtown building, this restaurant stands out from the crowd with its modern, somewhat austere design. The menu features snacks and small plates, but plenty of choice: hummus, Norwegian trout sashimi, mushroom and parmesan arancini, vegetable platters, shrimp salad... and the main course is the fish of the day and meat... ah yes! a cauliflower dish for the vegetarian option all the same! The chocolate tart with salted butter caramel is a delight!
BEVAREMEGVEL
Read moreIt is certainly one of the warmest places in the city: a piano in the middle of the big room, a bay window overlooking one of the prettiest streets in the old town and a smiling staff. The prices are certainly high, but you feel at home here! Dishes in the tradition of Norwegian cuisine, smoked salmon, small herbs, potatoes and other delicacies. The desserts are particularly tasty. Beware of the wine list which is quite expensive, as everywhere in Norway!
POTETBAKERN
Read moreLocated in old Stavanger, this brew serves pizzas and hamburgers. Not at all dietetic, but ideal for small budgets.
NEWSMAN
Read moreA pub restaurant with newspapers, frequented by Norwegians and foreigners working in the oil industry. Many Norwegian and foreign newspapers and a CNN screen are available to customers. But there are also terrestrial foods: small hot dishes and homemade pastries. In the cellar is Arkivet, a collection of antiques and the toy collectors club.
