Travel Guide Kin Pun Sakhan

At 200 km or six hours drive from Yangon, this is the starting point for buses to the Golden Rock or for hiking tours. It is also quick to get there by train, leaving Yangon every morning at 6:30 am in the direction of Kyaiktiyo. The small town of Kin Pun Sakhan is located about ten kilometers below the golden rock. Here, the accommodation capacities are still a little more numerous, less expensive and often less linked to the government than at the top... Especially on weekends, the small town offers many restaurants and cafes where you can taste local food and shops. For this reason, there is more activity there in the evenings than elsewhere. In the end, there is not much to see there, apart from the excursion to the famous Golden Rock, but it is a pleasure to stroll there for a short stay
