A small town on either side of the Zambezi, Sesheke faces the Namibian city of Katima Mulilo, to which it is connected by a 900-metre bridge, inaugurated in 2004 to promote trade between the two countries. Sesheke is easily accessible from Livingstone in 2 hours by a new renovated road, minibuses shuttling from the Maramba stop via Kazungula. The city itself is not of great interest to tourists, but it is an essential stopover for refuelling and food supplies before heading to Sioma Ngwezi National Park or the Sioma Falls.
