The main market of the city, also called New Market, is mainly dedicated to household products and food products (fruits and vegetables). There are also stalls selling jewelry, fabrics, tobacco, basketry... It is the largest market in southern Laos. It is very lively, it is a good place to take the pulse of the city and the region. It is better to go there early in the morning. There is a food court with excellent noodles. Tuk-tuk and jumbo buses are parked nearby.
