VAT LUANG
Wat Luang, located along the Sedone River, is the oldest and most important temple in Pakse. It was built in 1935 and renovated in 1990, thanks to donations. To the right of the sim (worship room) is the monks' dormitory. A wooden building houses the novice school, considered the most important in the south of the country. To the left of the entrance you can see the library dating from 1943. Funeral urns contain the ashes of the royal family. A nice place to stroll around and take nice pictures of the monks in their orange dresses.
