First mentioned in 1603, the Hotel Rappen is part of Rothenburg's history. The horse on the logo alludes not only to the hotel's name(Rappe stands for black horse), but also to the history of the place, as it was once a post house! The hotel now combines two separate buildings, with an attractive modern module housing the reception area. With 150 rooms, it's the city's largest hotel. There are 7 room categories. Wir waren bereits zum 2. Mal im Hotel Rappen und wieder einmal sehr begeistert, vom Zimmer, vom freundlichen Service, von der Sauberkeit, der zentralen, aber dennoch ruhigen Lage und dem gigantischen Frühstücksbuffet. Auch ein Besuch im Restaurant durfte nicht fehlen - Pfannkuchenpizza vegetarisch ... lecker und dazu ein ganz freundlicher Service in einer urigen Stube! Wir kommen sehr, sehr gerne wieder!!!

Waren nur zum Essen dort. Für das Ambiente und den Preisen war die Erwartung groß. Leider wurden wir enttäuscht. Portionen waren mäßig und Medium beim Steak ein Fremdwort. Pommes hatten auch zu lange bekanntschaft mit dem Fett. Die Bedienung dürfte auch etwas freundlicher sein. Schade.
