A museum entirely dedicated to the history of the train and the Deutsche Bahn, with locomotives and real wagons to discover.
This gigantic Deutsche Bahn museum traces the history of the railways in Germany, from the very first steam locomotive line between Nuremberg and Fürth in 1835 to the present day. Telling the story of trains also means telling the story of the industrial revolution, the rural exodus, the rise of tourism, the mobilisation of troops, the Shoah, etc. Among the highlights of the collection: the Adler, the oldest German locomotive, and the royal train of Ludwig II of Bavaria, his "Versailles on wheels".
