The Renaissance monastery is a place that attracts pilgrims and visitors who want to enjoy the beautiful view of Passau.
This Renaissance monastery was built in 1627. Even today, it is one of Bavaria's most famous places of pilgrimage. Once at the top, the view is sumptuous, and the whole city of Passau is revealed from a new, more beautiful and more majestic angle. To get there, pilgrims have to climb the 321 steps. For the record, it's customary to recite a "Hail Mary" at each step!
