Ursuline church built in 1691 with luminous paintings, a training institute for young women.
The church and its convent were built in 1691 on the orders of theUrsulines, an educational institution for young women. Between 1736 and 1741, the brothers Asam, Egid Quirin and Cosmas Damian created their latest work here: the church cloister in a harmonious and skilful blend of baroque and rococo with its sculptures, paintings and other bright ornaments. The Ursuline Church is the most important Baroque work in Straubing.
