Good news! After important works, the museum reopened its doors in 2021. On the banks of the river Vire, you will find the Hôtel-Dieu, a remarkable eighteenth-century monument that houses this museum unlike any other. Indeed, it immerses us in the daily life of Normandy in the past. A flavour of yesteryear as we read about the history of Vire and the bocage, from the Gallo-Roman period to the present day. A new path to discover, like the garden, superb and free. Beware, this museum has all the makings of a great one: modern, interactive, spacious and it really speaks to everyone.
