MUSÉE DE VIRE NORMANDIE
Art museum housed in an Hôtel-Dieu, featuring temporary exhibitions, games, animated films...
The Musée de Vire Normandie is an art museum located in the town of Vire Normandie. It was awarded the "Musée de France" label in 2003 and plays an important role in Normandy’s network of society museums. The museum is housed in an 18th-century Hôtel-Dieu and recently reopened after several years of renovation. Visitors can explore the history of Vire Normandie and follow in the footsteps of the men and women who have shaped the town and its Bocage. The museum’s new scenography offers surprises all along the way, with games, multimedia devices, models, animated films and even an olfactory device. The museum also features temporary exhibitions, including one on Roger&Gallet, an iconic French perfume brand.
