The treasure of Regensburg Cathedral: chalices, crosses, relics, jewels, ciboria and other pontifical insignia to discover.

In the former residence of the city's bishops, the Cathedral Treasure Museum exhibits numerous chalices, crosses, relics, jewels, ciboria and other pontifical insignia, as well as a fine collection of silverware and textiles from the period between the 11th and 20th centuries. Due to looting and shortages of materials, many of the pieces have been lost forever. Nevertheless, visitors will be able to contemplate remarkable pieces such as the Ottokar cross and the Schaumberg altar in the Chapel of the Twelve Messengers.
