An original campsite with barrel-shaped bungalows on the banks of the Danube, not far from Regensburg city centre.
The campsite is situated on the banks of the Danube, about 2 km from the old town of Regensburg. The design of the bungalows, which can be rented on a weekly basis, is unique: they are shaped like large barrels and are comfortably furnished as rooms. The use of wood, the round shape and the small openings give them a false hobbit village look. Also on the spot: hut-type accommodation.

Toller Platz, idealer Ausgangspunkt für Besichtigungen von Regensburg, der Walhalla und der Umgebung donauaufwärts. Die Damen an der Rezeption sind super freundlich. Die sanitären Anlagen waren sehr sauber. Der Preis für ein Wohnmobil mit 2 Personen (35 Euro) geht voll in Ordnung. Nicht vergessen möchte ich die Gaststätte des Platzes. Das Essen war sehr gut.

Personal war freundlich aber 51 eur ist im April ein stolzer Preis (zwar incl Strom. Die StromKästen sind schon lange in die Jahre gekommen. eine Preisliste gibt es angeblich er wird inviduel festgelegt im campingführer wird auch ein Stellplatz für wohnmobile angeboten was überhaupt nicht stimmt alter baumbestand vorhanden. Hinter dem Platz ist ein Durchgang zum radweg der in ca 3 km nach regensburg führt und direkt am radweg fließt auch die Donau. Bushaltestelle direkt beim Platz Restaurant ist auch vorhanden

Der Platz ist prima und hat eine top Lage. Nette Rezeption, Brötchenservice. Sanitäranlagen sind nicht die allerneusten, aber völlig in Ordnung und sauber. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
