The small castle in the town of Dachau.
Built in the 16th century by Dukes Wilhelm IV and Albert V, this small castle is mainly in the Renaissance style. Today, it hosts the Dachauer Schlosskonzerte, classical music concerts, during the autumn. The ceiling of the festival hall is the most impressive. Behind the castle is the lovely French-style Hofgarten (free admission from 7 am to 8 pm) with its rose garden. From the castle walls you can enjoy a beautiful view of the countryside and the new town of Dachau.
