Gurue is known for one thing in particular: a hilly terrain tamed by tea plantations arranged in tiers and a picturesque village. You will see pictures of it in some of the brochures about the country, because it is so special. Hikers will hike up Mount Namuli, 2,419 meters high and the second highest peak in the country. The gods water Gurue as often as they can, which means all year round. Think of the raincoat. The main interest of Gurue is to immerse yourself in the mountains. New discoveries are yours! To get to Gurue, chapas or pick-ups leave at various times of the day from/to Quelimane (345 km, 5h) or Nampula (392 km, 6h).
