Halfway between Nampula and Mocuba, Alto Molucué is only a small stopover town, which is not unpleasant by the way, but which does not deserve a particular stop either. The town is relatively well served in terms of transport. From the "bus station" in the town centre, chapas leave the village at several times during the day, notably for Nampula. From here it is 187 km, or 3h30 drive, and it is the same distance to the village of Mocuba, from where it is possible to reach the towns of Quelimane, Gurué to the famous tea plantations or Milange or even to the Malawian border.
