CHINAMAPERE ROCK ART SITE

This site of prehistoric rock paintings is a rare example of cave art still visible in Mozambique. They were created by the San people (ancestors of the Bushmen) around a thousand years ago. They can still be found intact throughout southern Africa, including Zimbabwe and Lesotho. They are poorly preserved, as anyone can approach them and, unfortunately, touch them, but you can make out hunters with their spears and animals.
